We’re in London and we can conduct consultations all over the UK, and abroad. You can select a time slot that suits your time zone. Time zones are 09:00-17:00 GMT.
Most of our Miscellany design consultations are done virtually: you send us your photos, your room measurements and what you're trying to achieve. We then design your space in our design studio, responding to your needs and taste. Then emailing you a design plan and shopping list, which we talk through on ZOOM. This online service is speedy and makes the service very affordable, allowing you to create your dream space in just a few clicks. However, if you'd like to meet in-person at your home or on-site, that can also be arranged as part of your Design Lite package.
Absolutely. Just send us images and dimensions of the existing furniture you'd like to keep and we can find ways to work them into the design scheme.
Once we have agreed fees and the amount of hours of consultancy that we are going to offer you, you set-up a kick-off design consultation at an agreed time, with your designer. They will send you a Zoom link before your consultation so you can discuss your project, your space, and your ideas in detail. During this kick-off consultation, your designer will listen to your requirements and refine the timeframe and proposed next steps for you to agree together. Along with the zoom link will be a handy guide on how to prepare to get the most out of your first creative design session.
Don’t worry if you’re a bit lost, we can help. However, if you do have ideas, Pinterest boards, Images, floorplans, photos, and videos, this really helps us to visualise the project and how we can structure the Design Lite service. Also, it helps to compile all your questions, so we can best utilise every consultation time. The handy consultation guide will advise on how to get all your information over to your designer for ease of discussion. We keep the initial greetings short and sweet so we can maximise the time discussing your project!

We source our products from a huge array of sellers, online boutiques and retailers. From super cost-effective suppliers and high street gems, to smaller, more artisan brands. When we are sourcing personalised products for you as part of a Design Lite project, we source items that suit your style, needs and budget. And we make sure products suggested always include good value options.
It's a shame to see you go! As long as we haven't yet begun working with you or spending any time on the project with you, we can agree to stop the project and refund any monies paid. But if we have done any work, we would agree how much could be refunded.
It can be as little as an hour's initial consultancy, to ask us your top burning questions. Or a few hours, or a few days to a few weeks depending of the complexity of what your Designer is doing, and how many rooms you need designing etc. We give you only as much consultation as you need. You are in control and fees are always agreed upfront.
We always agree consultancy fees with you, so no nasty surprises. Where we are sourcing furnishings for you, the spend budget is set by you and we agree costs before sourcing begins. We then work to find furniture and accessories which fit within the amount you want to pay.
If you feel you need help with lots of Design Lite service elements and you’re not sure where to start or what you can handle yourself, then the best thing to do is to just book a first consultation. At this ZOOM meeting, one of our Designers can chat to you about what you might need help with. During that first consultation, your Designer might well be able to answer some of your burning questions immediately and for the more complex elements can structure a proposal specific to your needs.
During the design process, your allocated designer will be dedicated to you and will discuss any changes you'd like to make. We will consider the amount of time the change will take and will agree any extra fees. But we will try and keep things as efficient as possible.
This will be agreed as part of your Design Lite personalised service. You might opt to receive one option per item on the sourcing list, which meets your style and budget. Or you might opt to see several options to have lots of choice. Our designers put a lot of effort and skill into curating the best possible collection of items for you. If we have also designed a dimensioned room layout for you, you can also choose your own furniture in the right sizes.
Of course. You can bolt-on any kind of extra service during the original project. You might want us to add on an electrical plan to give to your builder. Or work up a decorative paint specification for your decorator. Don't hesitate to ask your Designer, they're here to look after you.
We agree this at the beginning when we map out your Design Lite project. You can choose to keep rounds of amends and changes to a minimum to keep the time spent and design fee as small as possible. Or you can choose to have more options to make changes.
Worry not. We all change our minds! And our designers can sort this out for you no problem. Email us and we will discuss things. You may or may not have to pay any of the initial agreed fees. If we had already embarked upon your Design Lite project, we would only charge for any work already done as part of the Design Lite package.
This should never happen. We will have undergone a detailed briefing stage with you, getting image references from you for your likes and dislikes, and your Designer will spring off from those to bring your vision to life. So the final design will be a very close reflection of the agreed initial design direction. Once an approved design is handed over, it is considered fully approved. It’s fine to change your mind once you see the completed design and we can discuss cost-effective ways to make some tweaks.

If we haven’t yet embarked upon any work, we will offer a refund, minus an administration fee of 10%. There are no refunds on gift cards and they have an expiry date of 12 months.
As you have bought the item yourself, you would simply follow the returns policy and arrange for the collection or return of the goods direct with the retailer. Make sure you do this within the returns liability period.
